A2P SMS termination
A2P SMS routes, terminated over SMPP or REST
Buy A2P termination from the carriers who list it. SMS listings state whether a route carries A2P or P2P, what happens to your sender ID and which traffic its seller accepts. Every route you buy comes with its own SMPP bind and takes REST requests on the same prepaid balance, with a platform fee capped at $0.001 a message.

Lowest live A2P SMS rates
The cheapest listed SMS route for an ordinary mobile number in each destination, read from the marketplace as this page was served. Per segment, before the capped platform fee. Check each route for its message class and sender ID handling.
Two things to read on any SMS route before you send
The message class it carries
- A2P (application to person)
- Messages sent by software to people: sign-in codes, alerts, delivery updates, reminders and marketing. Usually sent from a brand name or a business number, in volume.
- P2P (person to person)
- Messages between people, phone to phone. Operators treat it as conversational traffic, so a route sold as P2P is not the place for business volume.
- A2P and P2P
- A route whose seller states it carries both classes. The marketplace A2P filter includes these routes.
What happens to your sender ID
- Alphanumeric (preserved)
- The brand name passes through intact, up to 11 characters. Recipients cannot reply.
- Numeric (long number)
- Delivered from a long number in the destination's own range. Replies are possible.
- Overwritten
- The route replaces your sender ID with its own fixed or random value.
- Not guaranteed
- Depending on the destination the sender ID may pass through, be replaced, or be dropped.
Both are declared by the seller and shown on the route listing, beside the rate, before you buy.
Read the route before your sender ID depends on it
An A2P message is only as good as the route that carries it. Here SMS listings state the terms that decide whether your messages arrive under your name, and you pick the one that fits the traffic.

A2P or P2P, on the listing
Sellers declare the message class of each SMS route: A2P, P2P or both. Filter the marketplace to A2P messaging and only routes that carry it remain.
Sender ID handling stated
Alphanumeric preserved, numeric long number, overwritten or not guaranteed: what the route does to your From field is on the listing, before you buy.
The traffic each route accepts
Sellers tick the kinds they take: wholesale, transactional, OTP, marketing or promotional shortcode. Sending content a route does not accept is the fastest way to get a sender ID blocked.
An SMPP bind with every purchase
Bind on port 2775 with the system ID and password issued when you buy the route. The bind is metered to the throughput the route carries, and a burst above it gets a throttle response your client can retry.
Suppression on every path
Your do-not-contact list is enforced on SMPP binds as well as the API, and embargoed destinations are refused before routing or billing.
From an A2P route to live traffic
Choose the route
Filter the SMS marketplace to A2P messaging, then compare routes by destination, rate, sender ID handling and accepted traffic.
Fund it and buy
Top up from $5 by card or crypto, or $100 by wire. Buying the route issues its SMPP credentials straight away.
Bind or post
Point your SMPP client at the bind, or send up to 1,000 messages a request over REST on the same route.

A real market, in the open
Anonymous both ways
Sellers appear as a marketplace seller and see buyers by pseudonym. Neither side receives the other’s endpoint.
Credentials, not open doors
SMPP binds always authenticate with the credentials issued for the purchase. There is no IP-only access for SMS.
Priced by longest prefix
A destination is billed at the route's most specific matching rate, per segment, the same figure the marketplace shows for it.
One ledger
Every message is charged in one balanced ledger entry with the fee beside it, and a refused message is reversed in full.

What is A2P SMS?
Application-to-person SMS: messages sent by software to people, such as sign-in codes, alerts, delivery updates, reminders and marketing. A2P termination is the route that delivers those messages to the destination network.
What is the difference between A2P and P2P SMS?
P2P (person to person) is conversational messaging between people, phone to phone. A2P is business traffic sent by an application. Operators treat the two differently, so business volume belongs on a route that states it carries A2P. SMS listings here state A2P, P2P or both.
Why does sender ID support matter?
The sender ID is the name or number a message appears from. On an alphanumeric preserved route your brand name of up to 11 characters arrives intact; a numeric route delivers from a long number that can take replies; other routes overwrite it or do not guarantee it. The route listing states which.
What is a direct A2P route?
A direct route hands messages to the destination operator over the seller’s own interconnect, with no aggregator in between. An aggregator route passes through a hub and is usually cheaper, with mixed quality; a SIM route is the lowest cost, with limited throughput, and is not suited to OTP. Sellers declare one of these tiers, or HQ, when they list an SMS route.
What is the difference between transactional and marketing SMS?
Transactional messages are ones a person expects as part of a service: alerts, receipts, notifications and codes. Marketing messages promote something. SMS listings show the kinds their seller accepts, so match your traffic to a route that takes it.
How do I connect over SMPP?
Buy an SMS route and bind over TCP on port 2775 with the system ID and password issued with the purchase. Or post up to 1,000 messages a request over REST on the same route and balance.
How is an A2P message charged?
Per segment at the route's longest matching prefix, plus a platform fee of 2% of that cost, never more than $0.001 a message. A GSM-7 message fits 160 characters in one segment and 153 per segment once split; Unicode fits 70, then 67.
Do you pass handset delivery receipts?
Outcomes are the send-time answer: accepted or refused, posted to your endpoint as each message is handled. Handset delivery receipts are not part of it.
