Install guide
Add a professional greeting to Twilio
Play the file from a Studio flow or TwiML using a hosted link.
Step by step
Put it live on Twilio
- Step 1
In your Phone Greetings project, copy the hosted link of the prompt, or download the PCM 16 kHz WAV or MP3 file and upload it to Twilio Assets.
- Step 2
In a Studio flow, add a Say/Play widget, choose Play Message, and paste the link to the file.
- Step 3
In TwiML, play it with <Play>link</Play>. For a menu, put the Play inside a Gather so callers can press a key while it plays.
- Step 4
Publish the flow and attach it to your number's incoming call setting.
Good to know
- A hosted link can be revoked from your project at any time if you stop using it.
